• AVENTURA

A thief stole a 2008 Honda Civic valued at $14,000 outside Publix, 2952 Aventura Blvd., between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Sept. 28.

Police arrested a 56-year-old woman on a charge of theft at Target, 21265 Biscayne Blvd., after store security said she tried to steal merchandise valued at $129 at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 28.

• SUNNY ISLES BEACH

A thief stole a woman's purse containing $5,000 cash after rifling through a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero in the 200 block of 179th Drive between 5 p.m. Sept. 15 and 8 a.m. Sept. 16.

A thief stole a 2005 Honda CBR motorcycle valued at $5,000 in the 17100 block of North Bay Road between 7 p.m. Sept. 13 and 7 a.m. Sept. 14.

Thieves stole 11 pieces of 20-foot-long bronze moldings valued at $3,500 from the receiving area at Acqualina Resort, 17875 Collins Ave., between 11 a.m. July 15 and 11 a.m. Sept. 15.

Thieves stole an oxygen concentrator, four oxygen tanks, CD case with 30 CDs, and a pressure mattress together valued at $2,000 from a 1998 Mitsubishi van in the 16800 block of Collins Avenue between 6 p.m. Aug. 29 and 9 a.m. Sept. 2.

A thief stole a laptop computer valued at $635 after smashing a window on a 2006 Toyota Camry in the 300 block of 174th Street between 6:45 p.m. Sept. 2 and midnight Sept. 3.

A thief stole a mountain bicycle valued at $500 from an apartment balcony in the 17100 block of North Bay Road between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 29.

A thief stole a GPS valued at $450 after smashing a window on a 2008 Toyota in the 17000 block of Collins Avenue at 5 a.m. Sept. 2.

• UNINCORPORATED MIAMI-DADE

A thief stole six batteries from six golf carts at the Greynolds Park golf course, 17530 W. Dixie Hwy., between 7 a.m. Sept. 21 and 7 a.m. Sept. 22. The batteries were valued at $600.

A thief stole three identification cards and two credit cards from a 1990 Geo at the corner of Northeast 159th Street and Sixth Avenue between 7:30 and 10 p.m. Sept. 28.

A thief stole a DVD player, a camera, a driver's license, a wallet, two credit cards and $186 after breaking a door lock and a glove box latch on a 2007 Dodge Charger at the corner of Collins Avenue and 108th Street between 6 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Sept. 30. The items were valued at $1,100. Damage was estimated at $350.

A thief stole a DVD player and two speakers after breaking a door lock on a 2003 Ford Expedition in the 15900 block of Northwest Second Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 28 and 5:30 a.m. Sept. 29. The items were valued at $620. Damage was estimated at $100.

• SURFSIDE

Police arrested a 30-year-old woman on a charge of possession of marijuana after they stopped her for driving with faulty equipment in the 9000 block of Harding Avenue at 4:15 a.m. Sept. 9. When police approached the woman's car, they said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Police said the woman admitted to having marijuana inside her glove compartment.

A thief stole a car in the parking garage at the Waverly, 9172 Collins Ave., between 6 a.m. Sept. 19 and 11:30 a.m. Sept. 21.

• MIAMI BEACH

A burglar broke open the front door of an apartment in the 7800 block of Carlyle Avenue between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 28.

A burglar rummaged through a 2005 Cadillac in the 600 block of Euclid Avenue between 8 p.m. Sept. 30 and 6:15 a.m. Oct. 1. Damage was estimated at $200.
