Police arrested a 19-year-old man on a charge of theft at Target, 21265 Biscayne Blvd., at 4:45 p.m. July 6. Store security said he hid an MP3 player valued at $40 in a bag.

Police arrested two women, 21 and 23, on charges of grand theft at Bloomingdale's, 19555 Biscayne Blvd., at 4:45 p.m. July 6. Store security told police the women took merchandise valued at $1,730 into a fitting room, where they hid the clothes in their purses.

Police arrested a 19-year-old woman on a charge of theft at Urban Outfitters, 19575 Biscayne Blvd., after store security said she stole a blouse valued at $48 and set off the store alarm at 6:15 p.m. July 6.

A thief stole a bag with a laptop computer, clothes, a passport, a digital camera, car keys and other items together valued at $4,400 from a 2004 Jeep outside Justin's, 17813 Biscayne Blvd., between midnight and 4 a.m. July 6.

• SUNNY ISLES BEACH

A thief removed a window off a 2004 Chevrolet van at a construction site at 18400 Collins Ave. and made off with a saw valued at $700 between 6:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. July 2.

Burglars made off with two drills, six spools and 3,000 feet of copper wire together valued at $600 after removing an air-conditioning unit from a wall and crawling through the hole at the St. Tropez construction site office, 150 Sunny Isles Beach Blvd., between 3:30 p.m. July 2 and 6:15 a.m. July 3.

A thief stole a bicycle valued at $200 from a cabana on the pool deck at La Perla, 16699 Collins Ave., between 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. July 1. The bike belonged to an employee.

A thief stole a 2003 Honda CBR motorcycle valued at $4,500 in the 200 block of Kings Point Drive between 11:30 p.m. July 1 and 12:45 a.m. July 2.

A thief stole a GPS, a check for $3,995 and a safety deposit box key after breaking a door lock on a 2008 Ford F-350 in the 16800 block of Collins Avenue between 1 and 1:15 p.m. June 26.

A thief stole two iPods, firearms, a car stereo system, a GPS and a cellphone together valued at $1,430 from a 2006 Ford truck in the 19200 block of Collins Avenue between 8 p.m. June 26 and 11 a.m. June 27.

• NORTH MIAMI BEACH

Burglars stole a computer monitor, a computer, telephones and computer hardware and software after breaking the front door lock at a telemarketing office at 2040 NE 163rd St. between 9 p.m. July 3 and 1 p.m. July 8.

Burglars made off with bicycles, an Xbox, a Wii and a computer monitor together valued at $1,225 after breaking the sliding glass door at a home in the 1500 block of Northeast 176th Street between 3:15 and 6:30 p.m. July 8.

A thief stole a 1999 Nissan Altima valued at $2,000 in the 200 block of Northeast 170th Street between 11 p.m. July 4 and 4:30 a.m. July 5.

A thief stole a 1996 Pontiac valued at $1,000 in the 1000 block of Northeast 158th Street between 8 p.m. July 4 and 9 p.m. July 5.

• UNINCORPORATED MIAMI-DADE

A thief stole a backpack, a bag, a blood pressure arm cuff and other items after breaking a window on a 1995 Jeep Cherokee in the 10300 block of Northwest Second Court between 4 p.m. July 8 and 10:15 p.m. July 9. The stolen items were valued at $200. Damage was estimated at $100.

A thief tried to break a door lock on a 2005 Honda Accord in the 100 block of Northeast 150th Street at 1:45 a.m. July 9. Damage was estimated at $100.

Police arrested a 42-year-old North Miami man on a charge of theft at T.J. Maxx, 1650 NE Miami Gardens Dr., at 2:45 p.m. July 8. A security guard said he saw the man try to shoplift 13 shirts and shorts and a bag. The items were valued at $206.

A thief stole $3,300, a camera, sunglasses, two bottles of vodka, sandals and papers from a house in the 19700 block of Northeast 11th Court between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. July 9. The stolen items were valued at $5,720.

A thief stole a purse, credit cards, checkbook, wallet and $7 from a 2002 Mazda in the 14900 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue at 11:30 a.m. July 9. The stolen items were valued at $317.

• SURFSIDE

A thief stole a car in the 9400 block of Collins Avenue between 7 p.m. June 3 and 8 a.m. June 4.

A thief stole a tan-colored cover top from a Cadillac in the 9300 block of Collins Avenue between 3 and 4 p.m. June 21. The cover was valued at $325.

A thief stole a pink and black skateboard from the front lawn of a house in the 600 block of Surfside Boulevard between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m. July 1.

• NORTH BAY VILLAGE

A burglar smashed a bathroom window and entered an apartment in the 7900 block of West Drive between sometime June 30 and 3 a.m. July 1. The victim arrived home and found someone hiding under his bed. He then called police. When police arrived, they found no one inside the apartment but did find the window smashed and drop of blood.

• MIAMI BEACH

A vandal threw a bottle and smashed a window at an apartment in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and broke the mailbox between 9 and 11 p.m. July 6.

A thief stole a 1986 Toyota Corolla in the 7900 block of Abbott Avenue between 8:30 p.m. July 7 and 9:30 a.m. July 8.

A thief stole a woman's bag with an MP3 player, a cellphone, an iPod, a camera and glasses together valued at $1,030 after she set the bag down on the sand next to her towel in the 4300 block of the beach between noon and 12:30 p.m. July 8.

A thief stole a 2009 Toyota Corolla valued at $19,000 in the 2700 block of Collins Avenue between 2:45 p.m. June 24 and 2:45 p.m. June 26.

A thief stole two UPS packages and other items after breaking into an apartment in the 700 block of Lenox Avenue between 6 p.m. July 5 and 4 p.m. July 8.

Thieves stripped and stole the copper wiring from the electrical boxes at the NOBE construction site, 6305 Indian Creek Dr., between 6:30 a.m. July 7 and 3:45 p.m. July 8. The wiring was valued at $50,000.

A thief stole a purse and a wallet together valued at $720 after breaking a window on a 2008 Audi A4 in the 300 block of Alton Road between 4 and 4:30 p.m. July 8.

A thief stole a toy laptop computer valued at $40 after smashing a window on a 2005 Honda Pilot in the 3400 block of Collins Avenue between 5:30 and 7:45 p.m. July 8. Damage was estimated at $150.

A thief stole a scooter in the 1300 block of Dade Boulevard between midnight July 3 and 9 p.m. July 8.

A man shoplifted a pair of designer sunglasses valued at $460 from Solstice, 805 Lincoln Rd., at 8:30 p.m. July 10.

A thief stole a couple's tote bag containing two cellphones, identification cards, credit cards and other items together valued at $746 after they left the bag on the sand to go swimming in the 1300 block of the beach between 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. July 10.
