Johnson & Wales adds golf program

Similar stories:

Johnson & Wales University, a career school best known for its culinary program, has added golf to its curriculum menu.

This week, the school's North Miami campus announced it had formed an alliance with the prestigious Jim McLean Golf School in Doral, which means for the first time Johnson & Wales' students can earn a bachelor's degree in golf management through the university's hospitality college.

Careers in golf include head golf professional, director of golf, director of instruction, college golf coach and golf association manager.

``Our students will be introduced to training innovations, systems and a methodology designed by one of the top four instructors in the world, which adds another layer of career access to our students,'' said Larry LaFauci, Johnson & Wales program coordinator.
