CoralGables@HOME, Coral Gables Police offer safety seminar for seniors

The Coral Gables Police Department and CoralGables@HOME, the Coral Gables Community Foundation’s program to help residents remain in their homes and enjoy their independence, are teaming up to present Safety Check, a safety awareness class on Wednesday, Jan. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Community Meeting Room at the Coral Gables Police Department, 2801 Salzedo St. Sgt. Janette Frevola will teach participants how to protect themselves from identity and other forms of theft as well as how to use the 311 system for hurricane aid. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the police department, and refreshments will be served. "Keeping our members safe in their own home is CoralGables@HOME’s mission," said Coral Gables Community Foundation Chair Jerry Santeiro.
