CORAL TERRACE AREA
A thief stole a purse and a wallet after breaking a window on a 2006 Toyota Scion in the 6800 block of Southwest 19th Terrace between 10 and 11:30 p.m. Sept. 18. The items were valued at $700. Damage was estimated at $150.
CORAL GABLES
Someone took three large bags of clothes valued at $3,500 from the cargo area of a truck in the 400 block of Amalfi Avenue between 3 a.m. Sept. 13 and 7 p.m. Sept. 15.
A burglar tried to break into a house in the 500 block of Navarre Avenue at 10 p.m. Sept. 15. The homeowner told police he was sleeping in his bedroom when he heard somebody tampering with the window. When he checked the windows, he saw a young man walk to the side French doors and attempt to open them. The victim then turned on the lights outside the home and the burglar ran away.
A radar detector and cash were taken from a car in the 100 block of Mendoza Avenue between 10:45 p.m. Sept. 15 and 9 a.m. Sept. 16.
SOUTH MIAMI
An intruder entered a house in the 5700 block of Southwest 72nd Street while the resident was inside sleeping between 11:30 p.m. and midnight Sept. 12.
An iPod, a wheel lock, a cellphone charger and a book bag together valued at $480 were stolen from a 2008 Infiniti in the 5900 block of Southwest 63rd Court between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 15.
KINLOCH PARK AREA
A thief stole a bicycle left outside a house in the 4700 block of Southwest Fifth Terrace on Aug. 9.
LITTLE HAVANA
Someone stole a woman's necklace from her house in the 2400 block of Southwest 10th Street between 1 and 6 p.m. Aug. 9.
BRICKELL AREA
A thief stole a wallet from a woman's purse while she was at the Blue Martini nightclub, 900 S. Miami Ave., on Aug. 9.
A thief made off with a traffic sign at the corner of Southwest 12th Street and South Miami Avenue on Aug. 8.
A person stole an envelope with money from a woman's hotel room at the Courtyard byMarriott, 200 SE Second Ave., between 2:30 and 4 p.m. July 26.
COCONUT GROVE
A thief stole a woman's purse while she was eating at Tavern in the Grove, 3416 Main Hwy., on Aug. 7.
THE ROADS
Someone took a city of Miami garbage can from a house in the 3100 block of South Miami Avenue on Aug. 8.
A woman's purse was taken from the Big Fish nightclub, 55 SW Miami Avenue Rd., after she stepped away from her table on Aug. 8.
DOWNTOWN MIAMI
A thief stole a passport and $300 from a tourist's room at the Hilton Miami-Downtown, 1601 Biscayne Blvd., Aug. 6.
A man drove through a gate and sped off without paying the parking attendant in the parking garage at the Hilton Miami-Downtown, 1601 Biscayne Blvd., on Aug. 10. The attendant said the man told him he did not have any money.
A thief shoplifted three chains from a store at 38 NE First Ave. on Aug. 11.
Police arrested a man on a charge of theft after they said he shoplifted clothes valued at $3,000 from a store in the corner of Northeast 11th Terrace and Miami Court on Aug. 17.
SWEETWATER AREA
A burglar stole 20 watches, a diamond ring and BB gun after removing a kitchen window at a house in the 600 block of Northwest 133rd Avenue between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 11. The items were valued at $6,580. Damage was estimated at $250.
