MIAMI-DADE
Miami Children's theater holding auditions
Miami Herald Staff Report
Miami Children's Theater will start its new session of classes and productions this month.
The Miami Children's Theater Conservatory formed in 1996, is a professional performing arts training program for young people between the ages of 3 and 19. Young artists from throughout the Miami-Dade area come to develop their creative talent and to grow as young artists.
MCT offers dynamic courses for the beginner exploring acting for the first time, as well as advanced-level study for young actors with previous experience. Classes are designed to develop imagination, self esteem, concentration, character, professionalism, and technique, and to strengthen the student's command of his/her body and voice. The faculty are working theater professionals who are particularly skilled in working with young artists. In addition to a full complement of studio classes offered year round, The Miami Children's Theater offers students the chance to apply their skills in our professional stage productions.
Private and group lessons available for ages 11-21 for all acting levels, musical theater, voice, piano, audition preparation and more.
Angela L. Ardolino, producing executive director of the Miami Childrens Theater, has also announced a wide-ranging selection of plays and musicals for the theater's 2008-09 season.
