SWEETWATER AREA
A burglar stole 20 watches, a diamond ring and BB gun after removing a kitchen window at a house in the 600 block of Northwest 133rd Avenue between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 11. The items were valued at $6,580. Damage was estimated at $250.
UNIVERSITY PARK AREA
Someone stole a wallet, a Social Security card and a driver's license from a 2005 Dodge in the 1600 block of Southwest 107th Avenue between 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 20. The items were valued at $85.
FONTAINEBLEAU
A thief made off with jewelry from a house in the 9300 block of Fontainebleau Boulevard between 7:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15. The jewelry was valued at $2,600.
Someone stole $280, jewelry and a laptop computer after prying open a laundry room door at a house in the 500 block of Northwest 100th Court between 8:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Sept. 11. The items were valued at $2,800.
WESTCHESTER
A laptop computer was stolen from a 2008 Ford E-350 in the 7800 block of Southwest 40th Street between 7 and 9 p.m. Sept. 16.
Vandals damaged bathroom pipes and wooden floors at a house in the 7700 block of Southwest 33rd Terrace between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Sept. 11. Damage was estimated at $11,000.
A thief stole a laptop computer after breaking a window on a 2003 Mazda in the 7700 block of Southwest 40th Street between 7:15 and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16. The laptop was valued at $1,605. Damage was estimated at $150.
A Glock handgun was taken after someone broke a lock on a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 9000 block of Southwest 30th Terrace between midnight and 7 a.m. Sept. 16. The Glock was valued at $300. Damage was estimated at $200.
CORAL TERRACE AREA
A thief stole a purse and a wallet after breaking a window on a 2006 Toyota Scion in the 6800 block of Southwest 19th Terrace between 10 and 11:30 p.m. Sept. 18. The items were valued at $700. Damage was estimated at $150.
CORAL GABLES
Three large bags of clothes valued at $3,500 were taken from the cargo area of a truck in the 400 block of Amalfi Avenue between 3 a.m. Sept. 13 and 7 p.m. Sept. 15.
A burglar tried to break into a house in the 500 block of Navarre Avenue at 10 p.m. Sept. 15. The homeowner told police he was sleeping in his bedroom when he heard somebody tampering with the window. When he checked the windows, he saw a young man walk to the side French doors and attempt to open them. The homeowner then turned on the lights outside the home and the burglar ran away.
A thief stole a radar detector and cash after smashing a window on a car in the 100 block of Mendoza Avenue between 10:45 p.m. Sept. 15 and 9 a.m. Sept. 16.
SOUTH MIAMI
An intruder entered a house in the 5700 block of Southwest 72nd Street while the resident was inside sleeping between 11:30 p.m. and midnight Sept. 12. The burglar ran away after he heard the owner wake up.
A thief stole an iPod, a wheel lock, a cellphone charger and a book bag together valued at $480 from a 2008 Infiniti in the 5900 block of Southwest 63rd Court between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 15.
PINECREST
Someone smashed a window on a 2000 Lincoln Navigator at the post office at 13101 S. Dixie Hwy. and stole a laptop computer, a camera, designer sunglasses and checks for $30,000 at 11 a.m. Sept. 10. The computer, camera and glasses were valued at $5,150.
