SWEETWATER AREA

A thief stole a 1996 Ford van in the 1400 block of Northwest 107th Avenue sometime between March 18 and Sept. 14. The owner only discovered the missing van when he returned to the country on Oct. 23.

TAMIAMI PARK AREA

A thief stole a GPS after breaking a window on a 2008 Toyota in the 800 block of Southwest 104th Court between 9 p.m. Oct. 21 and 8:10 a.m. Oct. 22. The GPS was valued at $100. Damage was estimated at $200.

FONTAINEBLEAU

A thief stole a GPS after breaking a window on a 2007 Chevrolet Impala in the 8900 block of West Flagler Street at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 23. The GPS was valued at $350. Damage was estimated at $350.

A thief stole two pairs of glasses, a book bag, books and documents from a 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor in the 9600 block of Fontainebleau Boulevard between 11:30 p.m. Oct. 22 and 5 a.m. Oct. 23. The items were valued at $580.

BIRD POINTE AREA

A burglar pried open the door of a meter room at Navarro pharmacy, 14491 SW 42nd St., at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 25. Damage was estimated at $200.

SOUTHWEST KENDALL AREA

A thief stole a stereo valued at $500 after breaking into a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup in the 11300 block of Southwest 185th Terrace between 11 p.m. Oct. 20 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 21. Damage was estimated at $150.

Burglars kicked in the front door of the residence in the 11900 block of Southwest 171 Terrace and stole a 72-inch plasma TV valued at $3,500, a computer valued at $1,000 and a Nintendo valued at $300 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 21.

SOUTH MIAMI

A man used a screwdriver to pry open the cabinet of the Don Pan kiosk at the Shoppes at Sunset Place, 5701 SW 72nd St., and stole $1,031 at 11 p.m. Oct. 11.

PINECREST

A thief smashed a window on a 2007 Infiniti in the 12600 block of Southwest 80th Avenue and stole a bag, an iPod, a computer charger and a BlackBerry together valued at $660 at 1:15 a.m. Oct. 14.

A burglar smashed the glass door of West Marine, 11735 S. Dixie Hwy., and stole several Garmin GPS devices valued at $15,350 at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 14. The burglar left behind the black and yellow sledgehammer that was used to break the display cases.

A thief smashed a window on a 2003 Jeep in the 8300 block of Southwest 135th Street and stole a briefcase valued at $100 between 8 and 10:45 p.m. Oct. 15. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

PALMETTO BAY

A thief stole a laptop computer, a computer case, a PSP, a camera and cologne after breaking a window on a 2009 Hyundai in the 14900 block of South Dixie Highway at 1 p.m. Oct. 18. The items were valued at $1,090. Damage was estimated at $200.

SOUTH MIAMI HEIGHTS

A thief stole a radio and CD player, a back seat and two tail lights from a 2002 Lincoln in the 20700 block of Southwest 121st Court between 9 p.m. Oct. 21 and 8:45 a.m. Oct. 22. The items were valued at $1,700.

CUTLER BAY

A thief stole $400 after breaking a door lock on a 2005 Ford Ranger in the 20200 block of South Dixie Highway between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m. Oct. 23. Damage was estimated at $100.

A burglar stole a laptop computer and a camera after breaking a French door at a house in the 21900 block of Southwest 97th Court between 5 and 8 p.m. Oct. 24. The items were valued at $1,500. Damage was estimated at $200.
