The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a silver or gray SUV that slammed into a road ranger and disabled Dodge Charger in Boca Raton early Sunday morning and took off.
The Road Ranger, identified as 59-year-old Arnold Metellus, of Boyton Beach, died at the scene.
The Charger, driven by Cordel Brown, 30, was stopped in the east shoulder of the northbound lanes of I-95 south of Palmetto Park Road when the accident happened at about 1 a.m.
According to the FHP, Metellus was standing at the driver’s side door talking to Brown when the SUV barreled into them.

The SUV, which exited at Palmetto Park Road, should have front and right side damage.
