The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested two people in connection with the armed robbery at the Mobil station in the 2700 block of Beneva Road late Sunday night.
The suspect entered the store wearing a hoodie with a skeleton design that zipped up over his face. He threatened the clerk and two customers, including a pregnant woman, with a black semi-automatic handgun, demanded cash and fled on foot.
Witnesses identified Robert Littrell, 24, 3439 Canbridge Dr., Sarasota, as the armed suspect.
Further investigation determined Tyler Freeman, 22, 2713 Robinson Ave., Sarasota, drove Littrell to the scene in his gold 1998 Lexus and waited at a nearby apartment complex. After the robbery, Littrell returned to the vehicle and the two drove away.
Littrell is charged with armed robbery and being held on $150,000 bond.
Freeman is charged with being principle to robbery and held without bond.
