Police have identified the woman who was found Thursday floating in Biscayne Bay as Caridad Rodriguez. She had turned 41 on Oct.10.
A couple fishing on the north side of the Julia Tuttle Causeway spotted the body and called police at about 9:30a.m.
Miami officers on Friday would not confirm earlier reports that the body had a bullet wound.
Miami Fire-Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll said on Thursday that first responders noticed “trauma to the body.”
