Volusia County deputies arrested a Deltona woman they say beat her daughter, struck a baby and then threatened an officer and his family.
Deputy Brandon Cobb arrived at the home of Mayra Concepcion, 38, just before 7 p.m. Monday. He found Concepcion’s daughter, 21-year-old Ashley Rosa, with marks on her arms and legs.
Rosa “appeared to have been beaten up,” Cobb told the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
A friend of Rosa’s claimed that Concepcion had also struck her 5-month-old infant, though the report states the baby had no visible injuries.
Once inside the police car, Cobb said Concepcion began kicking the doors and windows of the car while threatening him, according to the News-Journal.
“I’m gonna kill you when I get out,” Concepcion told Cobb. “I hope my people kill you and your family.”
Concepcion was charged with child abuse and two counts of corruption for threatening the officer.
