North Miami Beach investigators are looking for a group who opened fire on a home Tuesday night, leaving one man dead and sending another to the hospital.
Police said they received calls from neighbors around 7:15 p.m. about shots fired in the area. According to witnesses, two to three men emerged from a dark-colored car with tinted windows and opened fire on the two men who were inside playing video games. Police believe the gunmen fired shots into a window of the home on the corner of Northeast 14th Avenue and 175th Street.
Police found one man lying dead on a bed and the other, who was transported to Aventura Hospital, with a gunshot wound to the hand.
Kathy Katerman, a North Miami Beach police spokeswoman, said investigators don’t have a motive for the shooting.
Never miss a local story.
“The two that were shot do not reside in the house,” Katerman said. “They were visitors.”
Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
