Police hunt for 36th St. Subway restaurant robber

Police are looking for the armed robber of a Subway sandwich shop in Miami Springs.

At 7:55 p.m. July 30, police were called to the Subway at 4889 NW 36th Street. According to the police report, the robber pointed a “black semi-automatic pistol at employees and demanded money from both registers.”

The robber tried to run out a back door, but it was locked. He was last seen walking down a nearby alley wearing a “white skull cap, baggy shorts and a black T-shirt.”

Police did not say how much money the robber got away with. No one was hurt.

Detectives asked anyone with information about the robbery to call the Miami Springs Police Department at 305-888-9711.
