Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department is treating the Miami Springs water system with chlorine through Nov. 20.
“During this time, residents may experience an unusual taste or odor in the tap water,” officials said. However, this will be temporary and “causes no ill effects.”
The annual chemical treatment of the drinking water supply, which began Monday, is a collaboration between the county’s water and health departments.
