Nearly a month after he was severely injured in a hit-and-run crash near Barry University, Damion Beckford remains in critical condition — and Miami-Dade police are looking for the driver.
Just before 2 a.m. on April 16, Beckford, 29, was crossing Northwest Seventh Avenue near Northwest 112th Street in the Pinewood neighborhood when the driver of what police believe is a Ford F-150 pummeled him. He remains in the hospital being treated for critical injuries, police say.
Officers described the truck as a 2004 to 2010 model with front-left damage and a dark paint job.
