Micky Steinberg, a first-time commissioner in Miami Beach who was elected in 2013, has filed to run for reelection.
Steinberg, 40, filed paperwork Thursday to run for her current seat in the November 2017 election. The North Beach resident will vie for a second four-year term on the commission.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to serve on the commission,” she told the Miami Herald. “I feel like I’ve been able to make a difference.”
Steinberg, a real estate agent and former board member of the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, joins fellow incumbents Michael Grieco and Joy Malakoff in making a reelection bid.
