Miami police are looking for a man who swiped a Nintendo DS from a Miami woman in the parking lot of a Miami GameStop.
The 22-year-old woman was backing up from her parking spot around 7 p.m. Tuesday when a man approached and claimed she hit his car. He demanded money, and when she denied the crash he snatched her red Nintendo DS from her hands. The device had a “Mario” cover and a copy of the game “Monster Hunters” inside, putting its value at $200.
The thief and two accomplices sped off in a silver two-door Ford Mustang while hiding the license plate, but not before the victim snapped a photo of one of the accomplices. Security footage from the GameStop at 2968 SW Eighth Street showed the robber walked in and out of the store.
Anyone with information can call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471- TIPS (8477).
