A man was arrested in the stabbing death of his wife, Miami police said on Wednesday.
Aralio Boudet, 51, was charged with second-degree murder. His wife, 52-year-old Elba Alvarez, was found on Tuesday in their home in the Flagami area by her brother, according to Miami police.
A call came into police at about 3 p.m. Tuesday to report a stabbing at 200 SW 55th Ave.
When officers arrived they found a lifeless Alvarez.
According to a police report released Wednesday, Alvarez's brother found her dead on the kitchen floor. She was stabbed in the neck, police said.
Boudet called family members including his cousin, saying “that he had just killed his wife by stabbing her,” according to the police report.
Police said Boudet told investigators that after arguing with his wife, he “grabbed a knife from the kitchen drawer and stabbed her near the neck, shoulder area.”
