A man was arrested in the stabbing death of his wife, Miami police said Wednesday.
Aralio Boudet, 51, was charged with second-degree murder.
His wife, 52-year-old Elba Alvarez, was found stabbed to death Tuesday inside a home in the Flagami area, according to Miami police.
The call came into police at about 3 pm., reporting a stabbing at 200 SW 55th Ave.
When officers arrived they found a lifeless Alvarez, according to Sgt. Freddie Cruz, department spokesman.
"We have a person of interest in custody," he said. "It could be domestic incident, but we are still investigating."
According to a police report released Wednesday, Alvarez's brother found her dead on the kitchen floor. She was stabbed in the neck, police said.
Boudet then called and said "that he had just killed his wife by stabbing her," according to the report.
Police said Boudet told investigators that after arguing with his wife, he "grabbed a knife from the kitchen drawer and stabbed her near the neck, shoulder area."
