Cutler Bay’s public works department will soon finish a roadway resurfacing project, including sections of Cutler Ridge Pines, Mark Manor Pines, and Whispering Pines Estates.
The project, which began Aug. 8, includes milling of asphalt, placement of new asphalt concrete surface, adjusting valve boxes and manholes, installing raised pavement markers and placement of thermoplastic stop bars with double yellow striping. The project includes 54 new American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ramps and 4,930 linear feet of new sidewalks. Cutler Bay’s roadway resurfacing project totals approximately $1.1 million funded by the town’s portion of Miami-Dade County’s People’s Transportation Plan.
Access to local roads will be maintained during the project, but residents could be affected by temporary road closures as the project progresses. The town says it’s on schedule to complete the project about the time public schools reopen on Monday.
