Giralda Avenue and Salzedo Street will be filled with a wide variety of art, food, wine and more this weekend for the Coral Gables Festival of the Arts.
The festival begins 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and will feature dozens of vendors displaying and selling art along Giralda Avenue between Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Le Jeune Road.
The two-day event will also feature performances from the Miami Royal Ballet and a steel drum band. There will also be a kids zone, concession areas and two exhibits devoted to fine art.
Festival goers can also sample various drinks in the “Art of Fine Wine and Craft Spirits” area of the festival.
The events organizers, Unlimited Media Group, said they wanted to incorporate multiple kinds of art and created a stricter process, compared to last year’s festival, for the more than 150 artists that will feature their work.
“The quality of art is significantly better this year,” said Mario Pi, president of Unlimited Media.
Admission to the event is free but tickets to the wine and craft spirits portion of the event are $59, not including fees.
For more information on the festival, to register for free admission and to purchase tickets to the wine event visit the festival’s Eventbrite page or call 786-558-5234.
