H&M’s South Florida expansion plans just shifted into the fast lane.

The Swedish retailer known for its affordable, chic fashion on Wednesday announced plans to open a store this fall at the Aventura Mall. The Aventura opening will follow shortly after H&M’s already announced opening of a flagship store on Lincoln Road. The Miami Beach store is the first permanent location South of Palm Beach County for H&M, whose arrival has been eagerly anticipated by local fashionistas.

H&M’s opening in May of a temporary location on South Beach was met with huge consumer demand and long lines. The pop-up store will still remain open until the fall, shortly before the new store openings.

The Aventura store will be 25,000-square-feet, located in the space previously occupied by Zara. The store will include, ladies, mens and children’s collections, plus specialty shops for accessories, lingerie and sports apparel.
