Transit services will be disrupted during a special event Sunday afternoon and evening.
Several Metrorail and Metromover stations will need to stop service intermittently, the county announced Saturday. Metrobus service might also be impacted because of the event. Officials did not say which event they were talking about, and they did not respond to phone calls or emails Saturday.
The Department of Transportation and Public Works is asking passengers to be patient and plan accordingly as operations will cease at times, with service discontinued for as long as 30 minutes.
Metrorail riders who plan to use the Orange Line to go to Miami International Airport are encouraged to leave early.
