Commuters will encounter road work this week on multiple expressways and surface roads.
All northbound State Road 826 lanes will be closed nightly at Southwest Eighth Street through Friday between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. so workers can pave the roadway and install overhead sign panels.
On State Road 836, the entrance ramps to the westbound expressway from northbound and southbound Northwest 17th Avenue will be intermittently closed nightly for installation of temporary lighting through Thursday morning from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
On State Road 826, workers building toll express lanes will close multiple lanes including one northbound or one southbound lane at some locations between Northwest 25th Street and 154th streets through Friday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Also through Friday, one northbound and one southbound lane will be closed just north of Northwest 103rd Street on 826 between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. And through Friday from 11 p.m. to 10 a.m. each night two northbound lanes will be closed between Northwest 58th and 74th streets.

On the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike, up to two lanes in either direction may be closed nightly between Southwest 216th and 184th streets from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday. And from Southwest 184th to104th streets, one lane in either direction may be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday, also for widening and express lane work.
Also on the turnpike, up to two lanes in either directions at various locations between Southwest 72nd and 40th streets may be closed nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday for widening and express lane work.
Meanwhile, on State Road 874, the exit ramp to Southwest 152nd Street and 117th Avenue may be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday. This work is related to turnpike widening and express lane construction.
On Flagler Street, workers will restrict lanes from 27th to 14th avenues to begin a roadway project that includes new lighting, traffic signals, a new bicycle and shared-use lane, new sidewalks and storm water drainage. The work will last about two years.
On Old Cutler Road from Southwest 63rd Avenue to Cartagena Plaza, workers will be reconstructing the roadway, widening the bicycle route and relocating it further away from traffic lanes.
On Southwest 122nd Avenue, from 88th to 92nd streets, workers will be installing drainage, grading and sodding and building curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
On Southwest 157th Avenue from 184th to 152nd streets, delays will occur because workers will be wideneing the road, resurfacing it and building a median.
On West Flagler Street from Southwest 107th to 102nd avenues, workers will restrict traffic for resurfacing and construction of ramps and connectors.
On Northwest 34th Avenue, a closure of all lanes will between 14th and 11th streets for pile-driving through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for widening and construction of toll express lanes.
