Roadwork this week will affect the commute on State Roads 826, 836 and Florida’s Turnpike.
Work on 826, the Palmetto Expressway toll express lanes project, will require closure until Thursday of one lane in intervals of 15 minutes at each stop between Northwest 25th Street and Northwest 103rd Street – alternating between northbound and southbound directions.
All northbound and southbound travel lanes on 826 will be closed at Northwest 25th Street Wednesday or Thursday between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Meanwhile, the eastbound 836 exit ramp to southbound Northwest 27th Avenue will be closed for guardrail improvements through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night.
On the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike, one or two northbound or southbound lanes will be closed nightly at various locations between Southwest 216th Street and Eureka Drive/Southwest 184th Street between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday.
Also, one or two Turnpike lanes in each direction between Southwest 72nd Street/Sunset Drive and Southwest 40th Street/Bird Road will close nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday.
The ramp from southbound Interstate 95 to the Turnpike and westbound 826 will be closed nightly between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. through Thursday.
On Biscayne Boulevard, workers are repaving the intersection at Northeast 38th Street and a part of Northeast 38th Street, likely through Thursday. Lane closures will occur between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
Closures on westbound Northwest 12th Street will occur between Milam Dairy Road and Northwest 82nd Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. through Thursday.
