At least two people died this week in separate motorcycle crashes in South Florida.
On Wednesday morning, a fatal motorcycle crash shut down two lanes on northbound Florida’s Turnpike at Kendall Drive.
Traffic was backed up for miles during morning rush hour. Details on the crash were not available Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist died Monday night after he failed to stop at an intersection and crashed into an SUV in Oakland Park, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
According to BSO, Shawn Donahue was traveling westbound on Northeast 34th Court approaching Northeast 10 Avenue at about 11 p.m. on his 2014 Italica motorcycle.
Donahue didn’t stop at the intersection, BSO said, and hit the front passenger side of Lilian Elizabeth Villatoro’s 2004 Cadillac Escalade.
Donahue was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where he died.
