Commuters will face disruptions this week on State Road 836, Florida’s Turnpike and NW 25th Street in Doral because of road construction.
The eastbound 836 exit ramp to southbound NW 27th Avenue will be closed for guardrail and signage improvements through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night and again from 11 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday. Also, among other closures, the entrance ramp to eastbound 836 from northbound NW 57th Avenue will be closed for pavement striping through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night and again from 11 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday.
On the Turnpike, one or two northbound or southbound lanes will be closed nightly at various locations between SW 216th Street and Eureka Drive between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday for widening and express lane construction.
In South Beach, a project that had been expected to tie up traffic for weeks has been canceled. The project, which was scheduled to begin this week, involved drainage installation along 5th Street between Alton Road and West Avenue. Officials said the project is “not warranted.”
In Doral, multiple closures will take place on NW 25th Street for overhead bridge work. Among the closures, all westbound travel lanes at NW 74th Avenue through Friday from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each day.
