Aventura to North Miami crime spree ends with two men in police custody

Police took two men into custody Monday afternoon after they allegedly went on a crime spree in Aventura, North Miami, Haulover Park Beach and Sunny Isles Beach.

The men were taken into custody at Northeast 124th Street between 17th Avenue and Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami.

The arrest unfolded on the campus of Johnson and Wales University, directly across from the school’s safety and security building and a residence hall.

According to police, the armed men may be responsible for at least four robberies. They allegedly robbed a Target in North Miami around 3:15 p.m. with what police believe was a pellet gun, a Nordstrom Rack in Aventura and tried to rob a Walgreens near Haulover. The men also allegedly robbed a person at a bus stop in Sunny Isles Beach.

The men allegedly fled in a Black Acura MDX.
