The shooting happened in the 4300 block of SW 132nd Way in the Silver Falls subdivision.
The mother called 911 around 9 p.m. Television reports showed family members walking around in front of the home in the gated community. A neighbor said he heard shouting when police arrived at the home.
“Police are actively investigating to determine how this happened,” said Rues.
