If you’re heading to the beach or throwing a barbecue this weekend, good news: Forecasters expect great weather.
Chuck Caracozza, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Miami-Dade, said he expects nice weather throughout the holiday weekend.
“It looks like it’s going to be partly sunny,” he said.
According to the weather service, light winds are expected Friday through Monday, with highs in upper-80s and lows in the mid-70s.
Never miss a local story.
Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties have had high rip current warnings this week, but there’s only a slight chance of rip currents for the weekend.
While there’s a slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, forecasts show the risk is concentrated inland. Caracozza expects coastal communities to experience good weather through Memorial Day.
