A 65-year-old Sunrise man, who police say confessed to killing his wife by smashing her head against the tile floor, did not appear at a scheduled bond court appearance Sunday, according to Miami Herald news partner CBS4.
Police say Frankie Siew told detectives Saturday night that he and his wife of 41 years were having a fight over a divorce.
Siew called police at about 2 a.m. Saturday saying his wife, Daywhotee Siew, 61, had passed out. A dispatcher walked him through CPR, said Sunrise police spokeswoman Michelle Eddy.
"When we got there it was suspicious in nature," said Sunrise police spokeswoman Michelle Eddy. Eddy said Daywhotee Siew was dead.
The couple, who has two adult children, live at 3391 NW 97th Terr.
After detectives talked to Siew, he was arrested and charged with second degree murder.
According to Miami Herald news partner CBS4 Siew was on the bond court docket for Sunday morning, but it was delayed.
Police records show he is being held at Broward’s Main Jail with no bond.
