Margarita Mojica, a 15 year-old ninth-grader at Miami Central High who disappeared on Friday after school let out at 2:20 p.m., has been found and rushed by ambulance to North Shore Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The girl’s disappearance was first noticed by her grandfather and legal guardian Alejandro Gonzalez, who drove to pick her up from school as usual. But the girl failed to show up.
After reading about her disappearance on MiamiHerald.com, someone spotted the girl walking east on Northwest 94th Street and called the family to alert them.
By the time relatives reached the scene, Mojica was being treated by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue workers.

“She appears to have been dragged and bruised,” Gonzalez said as he headed out to the hospital.
School officials confirmed Mojica attended all her classes on Friday. Her family and friends say running away or staying out all night without calling home would be out of character.
The family, who lives in the 9600 block of Northwest 10th Avenue in Miami, had peppered the neighborhood with fliers offering a $1,000 reward for information about the girl’s whereabouts. Friends took to Twitter to distribute her photo.
