A North Miami police officer who was injured after being deliberately struck by the driver of a stolen vehicle, has been released from the hospital, the city’s police department said Saturday.
The unidentified officer was attempting to stop the driver at Northeast 143rd Street and Northeast Second Court at about 4:35 p.m. Friday. The officer fired his gun, striking the driver. Both were taken to a local hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
