Led by pop star Lance Bass and his new husband, Michael Turchin of Miami Beach, dozens of gay and straight couples got married and reaffirmed their vows in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday.
Bass, 35, the former ‘N Sync boy-band star, married Turchin, 28, on Dec. 20 in Los Angeles. Their E! television reality special, Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding, debuts 8 p.m. Thursday.
The couples are celebrating Florida’s Jan. 6 legalization of gay marriage. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted the “Love is Love” mass wedding, originally planned for 7 a.m. on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Rainy weather forced the event to move indoors to the W Hotel across the street.
