More than 200 well-wishers filled Art and Culture Center / Hollywood on Saturday night to honor publicist Michael Goodman, a leading advocate for both the arts and the LGBT community in Broward County.
In addition to the Art and Culture Center, Goodman has long contributed to LGBT and HIV/AIDS nonprofits throughout Broward including the Pride Center in Wilton Manors, Broward House, ArtServe and Poverello Center.
GPR/Goodman Public Relations’ commercial clients include Tri-Rail and South Florida Regional Transportation Authority, Simon property group, Galleria Fort Lauderdale and WP Glimcher retail real estate investment trust.
“My job is very much part of my life,” Goodman told the crowd as he received his award and thanked his GPR staff. “I’m deeply touched, very appreciative and I’ll remember this forever.”
Never miss a local story.
