Megyn Kelly, Tina Fey talk empowerment in the time of Trump

"What an amazing year it's been for women," Tina Fey shouted out Wednesday morning before she buckled over with a sustained and slightly maniacal laugh. Speaking to a room of celebrities, Hollywood execs and reporters in Los Angeles at The Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment event, Fey, accepting the Sherry Lansing Award for Leadership with her usual wit and humor, also said she wondered "how we can proceed in dignity in this increasingly ugly, misogynistic time?"

Voices from artists fearing crackdowns on artist collectives

As the San Francisco Bay Area's artists grieve the loss of life from a deadly warehouse fire in Oakland that killed 36 people, they are also bracing for a possible city crackdown. The city has vowed to protect artists, but many have voiced concerns and point to Baltimore where officials raided a collective called the Bell Foundry, just days after the fire in Oakland.

NC Gov. McCrory arrives for meeting with Trump in New York

North Carolina’s outgoing Republican Gov. Pat McCrory arrived Wednesday morning just after 10 at Trump Tower in New York City to meet with President-elect Donald Trump. McCrory recently conceded in a tough, unsuccessful bid for a second term and now could be under consideration for a Cabinet position in Trump’s administration.
