Two robbers — one carrying a gun and wearing a long dress — burst into a Hollywood rental property agency earlier this month and demanded money, while another man stood watch outside.
Police have since arrested one of the robbers, but say they are looking for the two others involved in the April 2 heist. Police say that “through the ongoing investigation,” detectives determined that one of the robbers was described as a man in a woman's dress.
On Thursday, police released surveillance video of the incident in hopes of finding the robbers.
According to police, the two robbers entered Jackson Arms, 2421 Hollywood Blvd., through the back door at about 2:20 p.m. April 2.
Employee Peggy Ann Castro was inside alone when the robbers came in, police said. The robbers, police said, made off with $3,500.
Two of the robbers left in a bright yellow vehicle. The third person, who was seen in a white T-shirt, fled in a silver 4-door Mercedes with a sunroof.
The business owner told police that an ex-employee may have been behind the robbery.
The video helped lead detectives to Rickie Floyd, who faces charges of robbery with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-493-TIPS.
