Fort Lauderdale Police detectives are looking for a man who may have information about the disappearance of a young mother of one son and one daughter.
Police want to speak with Carl Watts, who is the ex-boyfriend and the father of one of Trukita Jaquita Scott’s children.
Scott, 24, was reported missing last week after her parents said she didn’t come home or pick up her children from daycare.
“We have made numerous attempts to speak with Carl Watts to obtain information surrounding Trukita’s disappearance and we have not been successful,” department spokeswoman DeAnna Greenlaw said. “If Carl has information he owes it to at least his son to come forward with it.”
On Monday, police labeled Scott a “missing endangered person.” Tuesday, the Miami Police Department found Scott’s 2007 Nissan Altima in the area of Northwest 40th Street and 10th Avenue in Liberty City. There was no sign of Scott and Fort Lauderdale police now have the car.
“Trukita is a mother of two young children and they don’t know where their mother is,” Greenlaw said. “We are pleading with the public to bring forth any information that would lead us to Trukita.”
Anyone with information can call Sgt. Novak at 954-828-5556, Det. Shotwell at 954-828-5517 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
