Pembroke Pines police officer shoots at nightclub customer

A would-be nightclub patron was shot at by a Pembroke Pines police officer early Monday after a doorman discovered a gun and he tried to leave the area, an official said.

The incident began around 3 a.m. at Gaby's, 11226 Pines Blvd, after a male customer was patted down, and the weapon was found, Pembroke Pines police Capt. Carlos Bermudez said. The doorman summoned help from two off-duty officers who were working at the club on 1226 Pines Blvd., Bermudez said.
