Gables shopping spree caters to dogs and their owners

Participants paid a $15 fee and 15 percent sales went to the Humane Society of Greater Miami and its young professionals group, PetNet.

Shoppers and their canine friends attended a one-of-a-kind benefit on Thursday, May 2, at “Culture Your Canine.”

Accompanied by their beloved pooches, guests browsed the wonderful merchandise at Fine Line Furniture and Accessories, Filomena Fernandez Clothing Boutique, The Americas Collection Fine Arts Gallery and Gallilani, all located at 4217 and 4213 Ponce De Leon Blvd.

Each showroom provided music, drinks and light bites; there also was a fabulous silent auction and raffle.

Participants paid a $15 fee, and 15 percent of all sales made that evening was directed to the Humane Society of Greater Miami and its young professionals group, PetNet.

Sponsors included Art Work Partners, Brown Design, Epi-Pet, Eppa Sangria, Filomena Fernandez FineLine, Gallilani, Grey Goose, Perry Ellis International, Planet Beach, Rocky Patel Cigars, Sea Dream Yacht Club, SideWalk Salads, Sotheby’s, The Americas Collection, The Collection and the Victor Hotel.

PetNet is a diverse membership group of young professionals united by a love for animals who “party with a purpose” to create awareness about responsible pet ownership and raise funds for homeless pets at the Humane Society of Greater Miami. PetNet meets each month at different Miami hot spots for yappy hours, mixers and themed get-togethers.
