I congratulate the clairvoyance of Michaelle Jean in her Feb. 17 letter. Her recommendations to reinforce the desire of the people in Haiti to re-found the country is on target.
Unfortunately, with reference to foreign direct investment — and partially quoting Douglas Case, classmate of former President Bill Clinton — unless we manage to place a stop to transfer money from poor people in rich countries to rich people in poor Haiti, re-founding Haiti is wishful thinking.
