College students from around the country competed in a traditional Indian dancing competition at the Julius Littman Performing Arts Center in North Miami on March 7. The Miami Mayhem competition, presented by the Indian Students Association at the University of Miami, featured dancers from eight university teams competing for a $4,000 prize. Proceeds for the event went to the Rata Nidhi charitable trust, which raises money for children orphaned in the recent Mumbai terrorist attacks. Penn State University took first place; George Washington University took second and the University of Florida came in third.
