PORT RICHEY, Fla. -- A 6-year-old boy has died after a fire in Port Richey northwest of Tampa.

According to a news release, Brice Atkeson died after he was transported to a local hospital. The Pasco Sheriff's Office said the Sunday night fire also sent 26-year-old Michael Hatalski to a hospital with second-degree burns.

Two other children weren't hurt in the blaze.

The sheriff's office said the emergency call came in at about 11:22 p.m. Sunday. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
