FOUNTAIN, Fla. -- A Florida Panhandle woman has been charged with murdering her husband.
The Bay County Sheriff's Office says 32-year-old Sabrina Griffin shot her husband, Brian Griffin, in the chest with a rifle on Saturday at their home in Fountain. Deputies were called and Brian Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Sabrina Griffin first told detectives that a large family dog had knocked over the rifle, causing it to fire and strike her husband. Later, she said they had been arguing over an affair and that she shot him in self-defense. However, investigators noted she had no injuries.
It was not immediatley clear if Sabrina Griffin had obtained an attorney.
