MIAMI -- Police in South Florida are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a fatal collision Monday night.

According to a Miami-Dade Police Department news release, the driver struck a bicyclist Monday night then apparently left the crash site.

The bicyclist died at the scene. His name wasn't immediately released.

Authorities are investigating the crash.
