Body found in Florida Keys mangroves identified

Monroe County sheriff's detectives have identified the body found a week ago wrapped in plastic and washed up in the mangroves of Jewfish Key.

Using fingerprints, detectives identified the dead woman as Christine Marie Kaye, 48. Her last known address was the town of Lake Park in Palm Beach County.

Kaye had not been reported missing, according to a sheriff's report.

Her body was found Oct. 27. It appeared to have been in the water off Key Largo for several days.

Detectives asked anyone with information about Kaye to contact the Monroe County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at 305-289-2410 or Crime Stoppers at 800-346-8477 or online at www.tipsubmit.com.
