Silversea Cruises, a luxury line with headquarters in Monaco, said Wednesday that its fleet is scheduled to grow in the spring of 2017.
Italian shipyard Fincantieri is building the all-suite Silver Muse, a 596-passenger vessel, for the family-owned cruise company. At 40,000 gross registered tons, the ship will be the largest yet for Silversea and an “evolution” of the Silver Spirit, which started sailing in 2009 with capacity for 540 passengers.
A spokeswoman for the company, which has an office in Fort Lauderdale, would not disclose the cost of the new ship.
When Silver Muse is delivered, the cruise line will have nine ships in its fleet.
