Miami-based accounting firm Kabat, Schertzer, De La Torre, Taraboulos and Company (KSDT) merged with SI Gordon & Company, based in Coral Springs, and named Steven Gordon, CPA, MST, a partner.
Elina Cardet has been named interior architecture and design director at Perkins+Will. Previously, she was an associate with Gabellini Sheppard Associates in New York. Cardet has a bachelor’s in design of the environment from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s in architecture from Columbia.
Adrienne Grenier has been named executive chef of 3030 Ocean at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, which is scheduled to reopen Nov. 1. She oversees the pop-up restaurant Tupelo, which will be at the resort through Oct. 23. Grenier has been sous chef at 1500 Degrees at Eden Rock Renaissance Miami Beach. She has also been a champion on the Food Network’s Chopped.
Maria Alejandra Acevedo has been named a shareholder in Gunster’s Miami office. She previously was a partner at Homer Bonner Jacobs P.A. Acevedo has a bachelor’s in European history from Brown and a J.D. from Harvard.
Michele Reese has joined HistoryMiami as the museum’s public relations and marketing manager. Reese was a double major in political science and journalism from Southern Methodist University in Texas.
Karen Guggenheim will be group director for Burson-Marsteller in the Miami office. Previously, she was a consultant. Her degrees include a bachelor’s and a master’s from the University of Miami and an MBA from Georgetown.
Brenda Sandoval has been promoted to the director of agency alliances at 3AWorldwide. She will also continue her position of vice president of global media. She has also held positions at AMGW Agency, including that of media relations director.
Jeff McDonough has been named president of Stiles Residential Group, the company’s residential development and investment services division. He holds a master’s degree in Real Estate and Urban Analysis from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Richmond.
Beth Butler has been hired as the president of Compass, a technology-driven real estate platform based in New York and now launching in South Florida. Previously, she partnered with developer Alianza Trinity Holdings as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Butler graduated from Auburn University and has an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.

New position: Assistant vice president of care management at Community Health of South Florida (CHI). The nonprofit healthcare organization offers 11 primary care centers and 30 school-based programs in the region.

Experience: She started at CHI in 2003, working in patient accounts. She has also been a patient financial services supervisor at the organization.
