The most far-reaching advice has come from a nursing consultant colleague who convinced me of the importance of the practice of “Relationship Based Care”. This is a formalized culture for healthcare organizations where relationships with patients, families, colleagues, staff and ourselves are essential to quality patient care. It s all about relationships, reflecting our core business of caring.
